Scotty the squirrel loves Italy and traveling. His friend, Bruno the bear, accompanies him on his travels to discover Italian food specialties. He loves to eat. You will find them mainly in the section Video Fumetti within our courses . The human Fiona and the cat Romeo live in Rome and enjoy everyday life. You can find them mainly as comics in the Fumetti section.
About us
Italiano Bello is a project for learning Italian and promoting Italian culture abroad. Italiano Bello teaches you this beautiful language through colorful and cute pictures, simple explanations, friendly stories and lots of free material.
Besides, Italiano Bello is also an online bookshop specialized in Italian as a foreign language. In our shop you will find a wide selection of books for learning and teaching the Italian language, but also children’s books, graphic novels and colorful stationery.
Our publishing house Bello Books publishes books for Italian as a foreign language and bilingual children’s books to promote multilingualism.
Who is the team behind Italiano Bello?

TEACHER AND BOOKSELLER
Ellie is the heart and soul behind Italiano Bello. She takes care of the content of the site, the bookshop and the publishing house. She is Italian, born near the beautiful Lake Maggiore, has a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Hamburg and years of experience teaching Italian.
Daniel
IT ADMIN
Daniel is a passionate programmer and works professionally as a Data Engineer. He has a Master’s degree in Big Data and in his spare time he takes care of the front-end and back-end of this site.
Kira & Cody
MASCOTS
Kira and Cody have a master’s degree in fluffiness and spread love, happiness and a whole lot of fluff. Both were found on the streets as puppies, Cody in 2013 in Calabria, Kira in 2017 in Sicily. They are Maremma-Abruzzo-Shepherd mixes.
