Coccole Books
Coccole Books is an independent Italian publishing house based in Belvedere Marittimo, a municipality in the province of Cosenza in the region of Calabria, specializing in children’s books and young adult literature.
Coccole Books was founded in 1997 jointly by Daniela Valente and her husband Ilario Giuliano, who followed their dream and even gave up their secure jobs to do so.
The publishing project is very clear from the beginning: the essential goal is “to offer the reader the opportunity to become a discerning and critical reader. A good book consists not only of a good story, but also of high-quality paper printed and bound in an environmentally friendly way.”
Their social and solidarity vocation has made the publishing house a cultural stronghold in an area where interest in reading is low.

The publishing house consists of a team of creative minds that take care of every detail of the books, from the content to the cover, from the illustrations to the choice of paper. Recycled only. The publisher’s focus is on environmental themes, which is reflected in some of the titles in the catalog: L’ululato del lupo by Anselmo Roveda, illustrated by Ilaria Guarducci, is one of the finalists in the 19th edition of the national prize Un libro per l’ambiente, promoted by Legambiente and La Nuova Ecologia.
