È un’analisi fondamentale della composizione e della storia del Lager, ovvero dell’umiliazione, dell’offesa, della degradazione dell’uomo, prima ancora della sua soppressione nello sterminio.
Primo Levi, reduce da Auschwitz, pubblicò “Se questo è un uomo nel 1947”. Einaudi lo accolse nel 1958 nei “Saggi” e da allora viene continuamente ristampato ed è stato tradotto in tutto il mondo.
Primo Levi
Primo Levi (Torino, 31 luglio 1919 – Torino, 11 aprile 1987) è stato uno scrittore, chimico, partigiano e superstite dell’Olocausto italiano, autore di saggi, romanzi, racconti, memorie e poesie.
Partigiano antifascista, il 13 dicembre 1943 fu arrestato dai fascisti in Valle d’Aosta, venendo prima inviato in un campo di raccolta a Fossoli e, nel febbraio 1944, deportato nel campo di concentramento di Auschwitz in quanto ebreo. Scampato al lager, tornò in Italia, dove si dedicò con impegno al compito di raccontare le atrocità viste e subite.
La sua opera più famosa, di genere memorialistico, è Se questo è un uomo: racconta le sue esperienze nel campo di concentramento nazista ed è considerato un classico della letteratura mondiale. Laureato in chimica, in molte sue opere appaiono riferimenti diretti e indiretti a questa branca della scienza.

Shipping within Germany is free of charge from 25 Euro, for orders under 25 Euro we charge a flat rate of 3.90 Euro shipping costs.
Orders with delivery to Austria and Italy are free of shipping costs from 99 Euro, for orders under 99 Euro there are weight-dependent shipping costs from 8.50 Euro, which are automatically calculated at the checkout.
We also ship to Switzerland from 12.00 Euro. All orders outside the EU are exclusive of VAT, but additional import duties may apply.
There is no minimum order value.
Delivery
We ship with DHL and Deutsche Post to Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
The shipments are usually handed over to the shipping service provider within 24 hours on working days or on the day after receipt of payment. The delivery time is usually 2-4 working days within Germany or 1-3 weeks for deliveries to other countries.
