«Nell’estate del 1995 trovai, tra vecchie carte di casa, un decreto ministeriale per la concessione di una linea telefonica privata. Il documento presupponeva una così fitta rete di più o meno deliranti adempimenti burocratico-amministrativi da farmi venir subito voglia di scriverci sopra una storia di fantasia» (Andrea Camilleri). Ritorna in una nuova edizione accresciuta il romanzo faldone di Andrea Camilleri pubblicato per la prima volta nel 1998.
1891. Il telefono è arrivato in Sicilia, ma per ottenere l’allacciamento è necessaria una concessione governativa firmata dal ministro, previo pagamento di una onerosa tassa. Filippo Genuardi, commerciante di legnami, dovrà sudarsi la concessione dato che i pali necessari al collegamento telefonico sono 58 lungo una striscia di 3 chilometri che interessa ben 14 diversi proprietari; senza contare che la lettera che Genuardi ha indirizzato al prefetto di Montelusa contiene un imbarazzante errore proprio nel cognome… Non resta che rivolgersi all’uomo di rispetto locale, ma la vicenda si complica perché il commerciante viene sospettato di essere un sovversivo.
Nella Vigàta di fine secolo Camilleri incanala la propria vena satirica in una sorprendente organizzazione del racconto: a una prima parte burocratica ufficiale – «cose scritte» – fanno seguito i gustosi dialoghi fra i protagonisti -«cose dette» -, nella terza e ultima parte i fili della vicenda si tingono di giallo…
Da questo libro il film/tv prodotto da Palomar per la Rai, interpretato da Alessio Vassallo, Corrado Guzzanti, Corrado Fortuna, Fabrizio Bentivoglio per la regia di Roan Johnson.
L’autore
Andrea Camilleri (Porto Empedocle, 1925-Roma, 2019), regista di teatro, televisione, radio e sceneggiatore. Ha insegnato regia presso l’Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica. Ha pubblicato numerosi saggi sullo spettacolo e il volume, I teatri stabili in Italia (1898-1918). Il suo primo romanzo, Il corso delle cose, del 1978, è stato trasmesso in tre puntate dalla TV col titolo La mano sugli occhi.

Shipping within Germany is free of charge from 25 Euro, for orders under 25 Euro we charge a flat rate of 3.90 Euro shipping costs.
Orders with delivery to Austria and Italy are free of shipping costs from 99 Euro, for orders under 99 Euro there are weight-dependent shipping costs from 8.50 Euro, which are automatically calculated at the checkout.
We also ship to Switzerland from 12.00 Euro. All orders outside the EU are exclusive of VAT, but additional import duties may apply.

Delivery
We ship with DHL and Deutsche Post to Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
