Exacompta Flashcard Box Bunnybox A7 for learning vocabulary – mauve
Original flashcard box for easy vocabulary learning thanks to 5-part learning system with 100 flashcards included
The Bunnybox from Exacompta is an ideal tool for learning and memorizing vocabulary, formulas or lessons. Whether for children, students or adults, the system with index cards has proven itself!
Initially, it was the learning psychologist and science journalist Sebastian Leitner who introduced this concept in 1973. His method is based on dividing the lessons into small blocks that are repeated at regular intervals. This makes memorization easier and more effective. This method requires that the cards be prepared in advance and handwritten, as writing and reading on paper facilitates learning.
How to use the flashcard box for learning?
- Write on the index card what you need to remember. Use the front and back sides by writing down the information according to the question/answer or task/solution scheme. Very important: the cards must be written on yourself, so you can better memorize the information.
- Then place the cards with the side on which the question or task is written facing forward in the first compartment of the bunnybox.
- Take an index card and read the question. If you can answer them, put the card in the next slot. If you don’t know the correct answer, put the card back in the first slot, but at the end of the pile.
- Keep doing this, but don’t work on the cards in compartments 2 to 5 until they are almost full.
The goal of the 5-part method is to anchor knowledge in long-term memory through repetition. To do this, place all the cards you have written on in the first compartment. The correctly answered questions are then placed in the second compartment. The wrongly answered questions, however, naturally remain in the first compartment and are repeated. Repeat this process until you reach the fifth compartment. All cards that are in the fifth compartment are thus also stored in the long-term memory.
What characterizes the flashcard Bunnybox from Exacompta?
One advantage is the shape, because the original bunny shape with two large ears on the lid and the nose in the middle is very convenient to keep the box closed. Thus, the Bunnybox can be transported safely. The sliding lid disappears under the box and thus never gets lost or broken.
The Bunnybox also has 4 dividers at once, which can be used to make up to 5 compartments in the index card box. You’ll need the dividers, too, because you can fit up to 900 A7 flashcards in the box! The first 100 Exacompta flashcards in white lined are already included, so you can start right away.
