Che ne dici di cenare insieme?

To make a proposal there are two very common expressions: Che ne dici di and ti va (di). Otherwise you can simply ask if you’ll do something in the noi form, like Andiamo in centro domani?

Che ne dici di bere un caffè insieme?How about we have some coffee together?
Ti va di mangiare una pizza?Do you want to eat some pizza?
Andiamo in centro domani?Shall we go downtown tomorrow?

The expressions che ne dici di and ti va (without di) can be also followed by a noun:
Che ne dici di un gelato? How about an ice-cream?
Ti va un caffè? Do you want a coffee?

Volentieri!

Ti va di venire all’agriturismo?
Volentieri!

There are many way you can say yes to an invitation:

Volentieri!Gladly!
Buona idea! Good idea!
Sì, perfetto!Yeah, perfect!
Va bene! All right!
Certo! Sure!

Andiamo in centro domani?
Mi dispiace, domani non posso. Ho molto da fare.

In order to decline in invitation politely, you can express your displeasure and adding the motivation.

Mi dispiace, non posso. I’m sorry, I can’t.
Devo lavorare.I have to work.
Ho molto da fare.I have a lot to do.
Ho già un impegno.I already have a commitment.
Facciamo un’altra volta!Let’s do it another time!

A che ora vengo? Alle sette?
Meglio un po’ dopo. Va bene alle sette e mezza?
Sì, va bene.

To set time and place you can use following expressions:

A che ora ci vediamo? What time shall we meet?
A che ora vengo?
At what time shall I come?
Alle sette?At seven?
Meglio un po’ dopo. Va bene alle sette e mezza?Better a little later. It’s 7:30 ok?
Meglio un po’ prima. Va bene alle sei e mezza?Better a little earlier. It’s 6:30 ok?
Ci vediamo alle otto davanti a casa mia.I’ll meet you at 8:00 in front of my house.
