Position
The position of the frequency adverbs is flexible, but basically these are the rules:
- Ogni giorno (ogni mattina, ogni sera,…) often stands at the end of the sentence: Faccio colazione ogni mattina.
- Sempre comes after the verb: Faccio sempre colazione.
- Di solito is at the beginning of the sentence: Di solito faccio colazione.
- Spesso comes after the verb, but it can also be placed at the beginning of the sentence: Faccio spesso colazione; Spesso faccio colazione.
- Raramente, qualche volta and ogni tanto can be at the beginning or end of the sentence: Faccio colazione raramente; Raramente faccio colazione.
- With non … mai, the verb is in between: Non faccio mai colazione.
