La Domenica delle Palme

La domenica prima di Pasqua si chiama Domenica delle Palme. In questo giorno si ricorda l‘ingresso di Gesù a Gerusalemme, con la folla che lo saluta con dei rami di palma. Oggi i credenti ricevono rametti d’ulivo (o di palma) benedetti da tenere in casa come simbolo di pace.

Traduzione

The Sunday before Easter is called Palm Sunday. On this day, Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem is commemorated as the crowds greet him with palm branches. Today, the faithful receive blessed olive branches (or palm branches) to keep in their homes as a symbol of peace.
