Bella Ciao

Testo italiano

Stamattina mi sono alzato,
Oh bella, ciao! Bella, ciao! Bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
Stamattina mi sono alzato,
E ho trovato l’invasor.

Oh partigiano, portami via,
Oh bella, ciao! Bella, ciao! Bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
Oh partigiano, portami via,
Ché mi sento di morir.

E se io muoio da partigiano,
Oh bella, ciao! Bella, ciao! Bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
E se io muoio da partigiano, tu mi devi seppellir.

E seppellire lassù in montagna,
Oh bella, ciao! Bella, ciao! Bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
E seppellire lassù in montagna,
Sotto l’ombra di un bel fior.

Tutte le genti che passeranno,
Oh bella, ciao! Bella, ciao! Bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
Tutte le genti che passeranno,
Mi diranno «Che bel fior!»

«E questo è il fiore del partigiano»,
Oh bella, ciao! Bella, ciao! Bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
«Questo è il fiore del partigiano,
Morto per la libertà!»

Traduzione

This morning I woke up,
Goodbye my beautiful! Goodbye my beautiful! Bye, bye, bye my beautiful!
This morning I woke up,
And I found the invader.

Oh partisan take me away,
Goodbye my beautiful! Goodbye my beautiful! Bye, bye, bye my beautiful!
Oh partisan take me away,
Because I feel like I’m dying.

And if I die as a partisan
Goodbye my beautiful! Goodbye my beautiful! Bye, bye, bye my beautiful!

And if I die as a partisan,
You must bury me.

Bury me up there, on the mountain,
Goodbye my beautiful! Goodbye my beautiful! Bye, bye, bye my beautiful!
Bury me up there on the mountain,
Under the shadow of a beautiful flower.

And all the people passing by Goodbye my beautiful! Goodbye my beautiful! Bye, bye, bye my beautiful!
And all the people passing by,
Will tell me: «What a beautiful flower!»

«And this is the flower of the partisan»,
Goodbye my beautiful! Goodbye my beautiful! Bye, bye, bye my beautiful!
«This is the flower of the partisan,
Who died for freedom.»
