Cappuccetto Rosso

Poi, soddisfatto, torna a letto e inizia a russare. Ronf ronf!

Also geht er ins Schlafzimmer. Dort, im Bett, liegt Oma. Aber sie ist ein bisschen seltsam…
»Oma, was hast du für große Ohren!«
»Um dich besser zu hören, mein Kind.«
»Oma, was hast du für große Augen!«

English translation

A little girl lives with her mother in a little house near a big forest. She always wears a red hood, so everyone calls her Little Red Riding Hood. The little girl also has a grandmother who lives in the middle of the woods.

One day her mom says to her:
«Can you bring Grandma this cake and this bottle of wine? She is very sick. But you have to be careful, the woods are dangerous. Always stay on the path!»

So Little Red Riding Hood takes the basket with the cake and the wine and goes into the woods. After a while she meets the wolf. But the little girl does not know that he is a bad animal, so she is not afraid.

«Good morning Little Red Riding Hood. What are you doing here in the woods all alone?» asks the wolf.
«I’m going to my grandmother. She is sick» replies the little girl.
«And where does your grandmother live?»
«At the end of the trail, ten minutes from here. It’s easy, the house is under three big trees.»
The wolf is very hungry and thinks: Grandma sure tastes good, and so does the little girl. A perfect dinner!
«Look, there are so many flowers in the woods. And they are so beautiful!» says the wolf.
«You’re right, they are really beautiful. I want to give Grandma a present, she loves flowers!»
And so Little Red Riding Hood leaves the path to pick some flowers.

Meanwhile, the wolf goes to Grandma’s house and knocks on the door. Knock knock.
«Who is it?»
«It’s Little Red Riding Hood.»
«Come in, the door is open. I can’t get up, I have a fever.»
So the wolf comes in, goes straight to the bedroom and gnam!, eats Grandma. Then he puts on her pajamas and pink bonnet and waits for Little Red Riding Hood in bed.

When Little Red Riding Hood arrives at Grandma’s house with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in her hand, she sees that the door is open. How strange!
Little Red Riding Hood goes in and says hello, but no one answers. So he goes into the bedroom. There, in the bed, is Grandma. But she is a little strange…
«Granny, what big ears you have!»
«To hear you better, my child.»
«Granny, what big eyes you have!»
«To see you better, my child.»
«Granny, what a big mouth you have!»
«To eat you better!»
And gnam!, the bad wolf eats even poor Little Red Riding Hood. Then, satisfied, he goes back to bed and starts snoring. Ronf ronf!

After a while a hunter passes in front of grandmother’s house.
But how the lady snores! he thinks. Then he sees that the door is open. So he goes in, goes to the bedroom and sees the wolf sleeping in Grandma’s bed.
Maybe I can still save the lady!
He goes to the kitchen, takes the scissors, goes back to the bedroom and zac!, cuts the wolf’s belly.
But what a surprise! In there is not only the grandmother, but also a little girl with a red hood.
«Thank you so much!» they thank them happily as they climb out of the belly.

Then Little Red Riding Hood goes to get some big rocks and the hunter puts them in the wolf’s belly. Finally, Grandma closes it with a needle and thread.

When the wolf wakes up. Oh, it hurts!
For a whole week he has a terrible bellyache.
From that day on, the wolf no longer eats little girls – or even grandmothers!
Little Red Riding Hood, on the other hand, is always careful when she meets a wolf and never leaves the path again when she goes into the woods alone.
